What is the Hiary Discovery Program?

Choosing software for your waste or skip bin business can be a challenging and time consuming process. A mistake may leave you using a system that isn’t quite right for how you operate your business. Being shown software where it is being demonstrated for a location other than where you are makes it difficult to keep track of what you are being shown when it is not your area that you are familiar with. We want to make it easy for you to see how Hiary can be used by you specifically (because every business is different). The Hiary Discovery Program is how we get to understand more about your skip bin hire business and show you how it can be used by you to save time and money.

Hiary has been designed and built by a team that has over 30-years experience of waste management software and skip bin businesses. We have worked with large national waste companies that have skip hire services and we have worked with smaller skip bin hire companies. We have helped skip bin businesses move from a diary to Hiary and we know that it is possible to do this in a matter of weeks (not months) if you are as committed to your success as we are.

You will see how Hiary can be used to manage your business activities, tracking skip bin locations and availability, scheduling deliveries and pick-ups to optimise truck travel, communicating with drivers about their activities, collecting proof of delivery, capturing tip dockets and collecting info about non conforming wastes placed in your bins.

What is involved in the Hiary Discovery Program?

Over 4 weeks (4 sessions of 30 to 45 minutes) we aim to get to know you and your business to make sure Hiary is going to fit like a glove, that is, it is set up to operate the way you work and operate your business. The sessions are structured as follows:

  • Week 1 - We have a few questions so we know the basics about how you operate your business and what is important to you about using software to get more out of your assets and other resources. When we have listened to what you would like to tell us, we then take 10 or 15 minutes to show you some relevant user experiences that we think will give you a little insight into how Hiary might be useful to you. At the end of the session we will seek your feedback to see if you want to go on to the next session and provide the information to set a Hiary system for your use (just a little information about your bin stock, the waste categories (types) you collect and detail of your pricing.
  • Week 2 - Prior to this session we set up a Hiary account with the information you have provided so we can show you exactly how you book in jobs using your data and booking in jobs you want us to show how it would be done. Then we hand over the session to you and we help you enter a few jobs so you can see just how easy it is to book in new jobs and exchanges. By the ending of the session you will be able to book jobs into the Hiary system. To make week 3 more relevant to you we ask you to book in some more jobs so we have some of your real data so we can show you how you can schedule work and manage your bin stock (without having to go to the yard to count bins). At the end of the session we will again confirm that you want to go ahead with the next session and ask for some details about your trucks and drivers ready for next week.
  • Week 3 - With your bins and bookings in Hiary it is now possible for us to show you how you can allocate work to drivers and see where all your bins are on a map and where all your bin stocks are. We will then hand over the session to you so you can try your hand at using Hiary to schedule work for drivers and send the runstreet information to them in your choice of medium and communication.
  • Week 4 - This week we will look at invoicing and payments and how Hiary can work with your accounting system. Hiary can produce invoices and send them out or it can generate the information to go into Xero or MYOB or to other software using file exports. Hiary has credit tracking and other financial related capabilities to help manage your customers. By the end of the session you will be pretty familiar with us and how Hiary can work for you. If you like it you can continue to use Hiary.
What is the Price of joining the Hiary Discovery Program?

For us to provide you with access to the Hiary Discovery Program it costs us all the time and effort required to set up the system and the time for the two of us to run the sessions. Despite the cost of offering these sessions and the support that we provide with them we do not charge you a cent. Instead we just ask that you match our effort like for like. That is we ask that you are prepared to take part in each session at the scheduled time with the information required to run the session. We value mutual respect and if you are willing to put the same effort into these sessions as we are we are going to get on well.
